In the past year, thanks to you and people like you, some 2,800 residents in the Western Sector of the MRC Memphremagog benefitted from essential programs and services On their behalf, and especially for the many who sought assistance, we thank you most sincerely for your continued support and contributions.
One such example of a beneficiary is a family with young children – desperately trying to get back on their feet – who received assistance from our Partage/Share food bank during a very difficult time over the holidays. Today, the family is stable, thriving and self-sufficient.
Every day, your support, as well as that coming from our close to 200 active volunteers, helps make success stories like this possible. Today, we launch our 2018 Financial Campaign with the greater-than-ever objective of raising $30,000 to continue improving our services, programs and support, in particular, to help keep seniors in their own homes, rather than allowing them to feel vulnerable and isolated. For this, our action plan includes increasing services, identifying needs and reaching those living in remote areas; as well, we have several other objectives.
A special donation of $250, $100 or whatever you can afford, will help us meet our goal. We cannot do it without you.
LOOKING FOR OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT THE CABMN?
Along with regular donations, here are two:
1. MEMORIAL FUNDING
Sometimes after a death, families will make donations to a charity or foundation in memory of the person who died. Making such a donation is a way to show support to the family as well as pay tribute to the memory of the person who died; this is especially true if the organization is one the person held dear.
2. THIRD PARTY DONATIONS
Another way to support the CAB is to make a donation in the name of someone celebrating a special occasion – Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, Bon Voyage, etc. Sometimes, these are given by those wishing to show their support but unable to attend an event.
