Last week, we asked you to complete a survey telling us if you were interested in an Online Public Tender. You responded in large numbers and with enthusiasm! Thank you! As a result, we have virtualized our Public Market in order to offer you local products while supporting local merchants. This week, 16 enthusiastic merchants are offering us their products. A few more will be added next week and throughout the agricultural season. You already know many of them who were at the Market last summer. We also welcome new collaborators such as the COOP des Grands Bois, which offers you prepared meals and La mer à bord, which offers fish and seafood from the Magdalen Islands and the surrounding area. All of this is part of the current movement to reduce travel, encourage the local economy as prescribed by PM Legault and as promoted by the Blue Basket. As you will read in the instructions page on the Market’s website, social distancing and hygiene precautions are rigorously applied in the process. So!
