A display of determination by our agriculture clubs

A display of determination by our agriculture clubs has yielded a whopping crop for our producers to bring home soon.

Beginning with germination in late March and early April, our participants sowed over 30  tomato seeds and have been successful at transplanting and seeing the seedlings to their first stages of life (100% success rate!).

Chosen for their nutrition and high sustainability / low carbon footprint, tomatoes were the ideal vegetable for us beginner gardeners. Specifically award winning organic tomato seeds purchased from the Ontario Seed Company.

Vowing to grow these tomatoes to their full potential, group participants may harvest up to 250 kilograms (collectively) of tomatoes if grown properly; enough to feed a literal army … or a small household of Italians!
