911 CAMP – Day 1
First day of Camp 911 2022: participants began with a tour of the fire station and fire trucks. Then, their bunker suits were distributed to them. The first activity of the day was an obstacle course to assess the physical fitness of the participants. The second part of the day was dedicated to the Air packs that firefighters use during fires. The participants lived the experience of an intervention in a building with smoke. We booked a surprise: Troy’s ladder truck came on the site so that apprentice firefighters could see it in action. We ended the day with a portable fire extinguisher simulation.
