One can give of material things in life
To ease for another, the struggle and strife
To lessen the fear of not having, …of not being enough
To make life better when it is SO tough.
All this one can do to lend a hand
To help another human being to stand
On their own..in their own home, with family and friends
The benefits of such giving just knows no end.
But in addition to this, is also the giving
Of one’s Time, and Talents, their experience of living
Those who give of themselves, and generously so
Making such a difference, much more than they know.
And the Volunteer Center reaches out to you all
Those in need, …and those who answer the call
To listen, to help, to do all that we can
To lift up and support, to be a helping hand.

To someone in need, as to a sister or brother
