Message from the Executive Director of the CABMN

National Volunteer Week 2020

19 to 25 April 2020

The theme of this year’s Volunteer Week celebration is:  ” It’s time to clap for the volunteers of this country.”  In light of the physical distance required at this time, the CAB Missisquoi North joins the Municipalities of Potton, Bolton-Est, Saint. Etienne-de-Bolton, Eastman and Stukely-Sud in saluting the volunteers of the MRC Memphremagog West.

Without the volunteers implicated in the CABMN Volunteer Centre (now numbering close to 250 registered in our volunteer bank), the CAB surely could not do all that it does in bettering the communities we serve.  The realities that we have faced  since the Pandemic began have made the need for volunteers even stronger.  As each need arises, miraculously, the hearts, hands and efforts of neighbours, friends and family are there to see each task through.

Covid-19 and the Corona Virus has changed us all in some way but, while potentially weakening some of our accomplishments, it has only strengthened the desire of volunteers to help in achieving the well-being of citizens in all communities.

As we celebrate you, recognise your efforts and applaud your actions we also extend our heartfelt gratitude, admiration and respect for all you do as volunteers.  You make the CAB look good and you bring such joy to the hearts of those you help; ours included.

Our sincere thank you and while we cannot celebrate with you at this time, please know that we could not do it without YOU!

Executive Director
