This afternoon our Leadership group read “We are water protectors” by Carole Lindstrom.
Once finished, the group completed a themed activity kit which had us thinking about ways we could make a positive change or limit our water usage.
Before adjourning, our group pledged to become “Water Protectors” as we agreed to honor Mother Earth and all its living beings, including the water and land. To always remember to treat the Earth as we would like to be treated.
We will treat . . .
the winged ones,
the crawling ones,
the four-legged,
the two-legged,
the plants,
trees,
rivers,
lakes,
the Earth
with kindness and respect.
We pledged to make this world a better place by being stewards of the
Earth and a protectors of the water
